walking wounded

yesterday afternoon, bebe sustained her first walking-related injury: we were visiting nora jane, and bebe fell and crashed into a chair. she started crying, so i picked her up and hugged her. she stopped crying quickly, and i looked over her face but didn't see any visible bumps or cuts. by the time we were at the grocery store half an hour later, though, a big scrape had appeared on her nose. coupled with the scratches on her forehead (remnants of a fussy night last weekend when she needed her nails trimmed and was rubbing at her head trying to fall asleep), she is quite a sight.

i'm just hoping it all heals in time for first birthday pictures!
