pay no attention to those bite marks on her thigh

i'm not sure how i'm going to make it through the summer without devouring my daughter.

i mean, seriously.

but let's change the subject before i drool all over my keyboard, shall we? today i took a picture of bebe's last time in her infant car seat. she is getting waaaaaay too heavy for me to carry up and down the stairs in this, so tonight we're installing her convertible seat. i have an appointment tomorrow with safe kids boston for a car seat check, and then she'll be good to go. (does everyone know that children are much, much safer rear-facing in their convertible seats up until the weight limit of the seat is reached, not the bare minimum one-year-and-twenty-pounds? good.)

then we went to the grocery store. bebe is now plenty big enough to sit in the front of the shopping cart, and though i miss the physical closeness of wearing her while i shop, she really enjoys looking around. she also really enjoys all the attention she gets now. today one woman got teary while telling me how beautiful she is -- she said that her own youngest daughter turned 21 yesterday.

yes, i am enjoying every minute.
