sunday morning, bebe and i were up early. she was interested in the newly-open door to our front porch.

she thought about making a break for it,

she thought about making a break for it,

but luckily reconsidered.

here she is with one of the coolest gifts she got when she was born. she has been playing with it a lot recently.

then later, she suited up to watch the celtics game with dada and steve (who i unfortunately didn't get any pictures of, but i think josh did...)

here is beebs at her "work table." this was my grandfather's foot locker in WWII, and the fact that he filled it with books to read and carted them around the south pacific tells you a lot about the kind of guy he was. bebe definitely gets her love of books at least partly from her great gumpy! i've had this trunk for years and years and love having it around as a reminder of my gumpy. once bebe got mobile we set it up as a place for her to play and she will stand there for long stretches of time, looking at books or banging her toys around.

late in the day, to cool off, we took bebe across the street to the community garden and park, which we LOVE having right outside our front door. it's like having a huge lawn that we don't have to take care of! i've been spending time there with beebs almost every day since the weather's been nice, watching people go by. every so often there is a dog, too, which is THE MOST EXCITING THING EVER.

(that's our building behind her and to the right.)
speaking of dogs, this is one of bebe's favorite toys right now. it's a little stuffed dog that mems and teed got for her when they were on the cape. it barks when you squeeze it, and whenever bebe catches sight of it she says "dog dog dog!". if she's in the car or in her stroller, and she has this little guy, she's happy.

this afternoon we went back to the park with the birthday buddies. they all had tons of fun crawling around and the mommies were happy to be out of our houses and enjoying the fresh air!

taking the sparkle outside.

back at home, playing with her step stool.
