bebe has recently become attached to a pink blanket that was made for her by the woman who took our cat tiny when we had to rehome him. it is a really gorgeous, intricately knit blanket and even though it hurts my heart a little bit to look at it, i'm glad that bebe is loving it so much.
i'm not sure why but months ago i referred to blankets, when draped over our bodies, as "snuggle nests." bebe picked up the term and now when she wants her blanket she asks for "snuggle nest, pink." she wants to have her pink snuggle nest when we nurse, when she goes to sleep at night, and sometimes when she's just hanging out. yesterday afternoon we were having a low-key rainy sunday at home when she decided to bring her snuggle nest up to the couch and share it with daddy, who was playing a video game.

that's pretty cute! and at least she knows to snuggle the blanket...i'm pretty sure josh ate his as a toddler. maybe watch him around that thing...
i actually ate THREE. they were all smaller blankets made from one large one that grandma ferreira made. it was split into two, and i ate the first one into tatters so we threw it out. then she gave me the second piece, which i also ate, but there was enough to save and re-sew into a third, smaller piece, which i then also ate. mmmmm...
