trip to maine

last weekend, we went up to maine to visit auntie kate and jack. bebe loves jack so much that she took one of his photos, which we had up on the fridge, and insisted that i tape it to the window in the living room so she can look at it when she's sitting on the couch.

she was very excited to see him in person. she was also very excited to play with his doll stroller, which she pushed around kate's parents' house for almost the entire time we were there. (don't tell bebe, but i heard that a certain auntie claus is going to get her one for herself as a christmas gift.)

bebe threw some rocks into the ocean and then had a complete meltdown. she was so upset, crying and crying in a way very unlike her usual happy self. i was worried that maybe she was getting sick because it was so out of character but as soon as we got home and warmed up she was fine. kid, that's why mommy tried to make you wear a hat and mittens. maybe next time you'll listen.*

*nope. we've been out several times since and she takes them off almost immediately. am i supposed to keep her inside until spring???
