last sunday, we decided to crash mems' and teed's romantic valentine's day weekend on the cape.
just kidding. they invited us. while in our pre-kid life, we could easily go two months without getting together, now that beebs is in the mix such long separations don't fly. a glance at the grands' busy calendar, and the realization that we likely wouldn't find a time to get together until easter, prompted them to invite us out to chatham for the afternoon.
soon after we arrived, we headed out for a walk into town, wanting to take advantage of the relatively mild afternoon. bebe insisted that mems push her in the stroller ("mems push! mems push!"). grumbling a bit, mems reluctantly complied.

on our way back to the CBI, we saw a digger! and a bulldozer! and an excavator!
before going back to mems' and teed's room, we went to the lounge for a post-walk snack. they had a pint-sized chair that was just right for bebe!

at the end of the day we went out to dinner. we surprised teed by bringing a birthday cake for him -- his favorite recipe, the cake he's had every birthday of his life, that just so happens to be egg-free and safe for bebe! she gobbled it up in a flash and this is the look she gave me when i told her it was all gone._
