bon voyage, nora jane!

tomorrow morning, nora jane and her family are leaving for california. now that the weather's getting cold, we're pretty jealous they are escaping winter. most of all, though, we are sad to be losing such good friends. i don't know how i would have made it through the first year of motherhood without jill -- she was always there when i needed someone to commiserate with, or cry to, or spend yet another fussy late afternoon with. our days will be much quieter without nora jane's little voice, sparkly smile, and cuddly hugs.
