i don't miss rolling out of bed at 9 or 10 on a sunday morning and taking a leisurely stroll into town for brunch.
i don't feel isolated and lonely when we spend the whole day -- or the whole week -- inside our apartment.this is not to discount, disrespect, or judge those stay-at-home (or working, for that matter) parents who do feel these things. they're all valid feelings, and i'm glad that space is finally opening up in our culture to allow mothers and fathers to acknowledge the bad as well as the good aspects of parenting.
but the truth is, for me -- i've never been happier in my life.
