the third semi-annual birthday buddies multi-day playdate extravaganza

this past week was a special one -- nora jane was in town!

on WEDNESDAY all three birthday buddies (and their mommies) met up at a new playground and spray park that was just recently installed in our neighborhood.

bebe and morrie stuck to splashing in the puddles along the side of the sprinklers

while the california girl got right in there

and got soaked!

then all three explored this big spider-webby thing.

then, beebs and morrie checked out the climbing wall

while nj warmed up.

they all explored in the bushes before it was time to go home for naps.


after nap, bebe and nj (who was staying in our downstairs neighbors' apartment while they were out of town) went around the corner to our closest playground, where they spent so many happy hours last summer.

they got right to work pushing trucks around,

bouncing a ball back and forth,

and filling the bus up with dirt (jill and i overheard bebe say, "that's teamwork!").

and a car full of cute.

then the daddies came to meet us and we all walked over to doyle's for dinner.

and bebe and nora jane had fun being silly together.

and speaking of fun, when we got home, it was tubba time!

then, on THURSDAY morning, we all played at bebe's house.

and that night, we went out to dinner again. bebe and nj ran around with their daddies while the mommies enjoyed some delicious fried calamari. mmmmmmm...

we always have the best time with nora jane and her mom and dad. we're already looking forward to their next visit!
