this is a very overdue photo recap of our visit with beth, tim, nolan and andrew a few weeks ago.
bebe's very favorite part of the visit was bailey, the dog, who she showered with hugs. bailey is an absolute sweetheart who accepted bebe's affections graciously.her second favorite part of the visit was andrew who, at the tender age of 13, possesses more baby-taming mojo in his little finger than many fully grown men possess in their entire bodies.
here she is trying to work up the courage to approach him. see how she's standing all casual-like, with her hands up over her head like 'hum-dee-dum, not much going on here, maybe i'll check out what's going on over by the couch... oh, hey andrew! i didn't see you there!"
they read some books and then, after beebs slipped into something a little more comfortable (aka her PJs), they did a puzzle.
one of our favorite things about visiting these particular friends, besides the wonderful company, is the good eats. they always impress us with the spread they lay out and this weekend was no exception. saturday night tim made a fantastic pasta dish with beets and toasted poppy seeds. sunday morning beth made some delicious cinnamon raisin french toast.

perhaps you've noticed, in previous posts, bebe's box of legos? well, that was courtesy of tim, who works for lego. both his sons loved legos when they were younger, and andrew, who is interested in engineering, has maintained his interest all these years. lego has some amazing building sets that are geared more towards adults (josh keeps hinting that if tim finds a millenium falcon lying around, he'll gladly take it off tim's hands) and andrew has built several.
