i don't know what they were talking about, but whatever he said, bebe wasn't buying it.

today i put bebe in one of my very favorite outfits for the first time. it was a shower gift (thanks susan k.!) and i have been waiting since the moment i opened it to see my baby wearing it. it is just the cutest thing i've ever seen.

although daddy made bebe cry when he told her it looked like a clown had thrown up on her. mean, mean daddy.
and, last but not least, i think my search for a baby carrier may finally be over. i registered for a peanut shell -- but stupidly didn't realize that my body would be a lot (a lot!!) bigger post-pregnancy, so the one i have is way too small. i bought a second-hand maya wrap -- but it comes with an entire DVD you have to watch to figure out how to use it! and by the time i finally started trying it out, i think i had missed the window in which bebe could easily get acclimated to life in a sling. we've got the baby bjorn (thanks to our neighbors who handed theirs down to us) which josh likes, but it hurts my back. i had been wanting to try out the moby wrap, and when a used one was posted for sale on the jpmoms online group i belong to, i happily shelled out $20 for it.

it's awesome! so comfy for me, and the beebs seems to like it too. she took a nap there this afternoon while i bounced on the exercise ball and watched DVR-ed episodes of 'house.' have i mentioned i'm addicted to that show? and now we may both be addicted to the moby. pretty soon she'll be big enough to face forward, which will be even more fun.

i still want to get a babyhawk mei tai (a custom one in cool fabrics), and then i think my baby carrier collection will be complete.
