beatrix is two weeks old today! today is also our first day on our own with no help. no daddy, no mems, just mama and bebe all day long. bebe decided to test me right out of the gate. not three minutes after daddy left for work, she pooped all over our bed. i handled the immediate need to do two loads of laundry (keep in mind that we are on the third floor and the washer and dryer are in the basement) with admirable aplomb, if i do say so myself. in fact, by 1 pm, i had done the laundry, remade the bed, eaten two meals and a snack, fed the baby three times, gotten her down for two naps, put together half of the birth announcements, and showered and shaved my legs. not bad for my first day solo, at least in my humble opinion.
bebe, however, remains skeptical.
